I am looking forward to reading other books by Ms. Having left his football prospects behind the day he graduated high school, he’s happy to carry out his legacy on his family’s farm in the foothills of the Shenandoah.
It was great to see Tara develop a loving relationship with other people in his family, especially his mother and his sisters.
I just had to know what happened next. No one’s more surprised than Tyler McGowan when he discovers he has a knack for running the family’s oil business – a role he took on after his father’s sudden passing. I enjoyed watching Elizabeth find not only herself but also love in this book. Navigating disparate cultures years apart, Monteath provides colorful character acting whether he’s playing a cool and coy contemporary Californian or a regal Renaissance aristocrat.
Sep 26, Stacie rated it it was amazing. The relationship between Tara and Duncan takes time to develop. The characters were wonderful too. The immersion catheribe the evil witch, Grainna, kept the intrigue high because you never knew at what point she would pop up to create devilment.
Originally published at Reading Reality I’m starting to think that Catherine Bybee’s time travel romances are a form of biblioholic crack–endlessly addictive.
By the time she settled into Scotland, however, she shaped up, lost her bad attitude and her bad language and I had a rollicking good time reading! But this was just I really enjoyed the story and especially the combination of modern and history. She’s had to learn to stand up for herself. Lizzy’s son, Simon, belongs in the past.
Each book sets the stage for the next book. Washing of the slightly hurt hero, cleaning his woulds while marvelling at his steely chest — check.
This book will be added to my book shelf for book I will be re-reading in the future. But it was as good as the first two! That her son Simon needs to be a boy with other boys. I read the audio-book and must say the narrator did an absolutely yes, I used an ‘ly’ word fantastic job. I hate physical abuse especially if the heroin is pregnant.

Duncan has travelled with his brother Fin from 16th Century to the faire as their job is to deflower all the binving there. This is the first book in a time travel romance trilogy. Best of all three. Read the reviews and if this is the type of book you find interesting, buy it!

There is our wonderful heroine, 25 year old virgin who is dragged by her friend to a Rennaissance Fair where some witch detects her as a virgin at first glance and singles her out to live as a princess at the fair while the winner of some faux fighting I didn’t expect a masterpiece of a novel when starting this one, Just some sexy story including time traveling and some fun along the way. While some argue there’s enough explanation in each to have them stand alone, since characters’ histories and actions span multiple books, bh yourself a favor and read them in order!!
Nevertheless, at a 21st-century Renaissance Faire Duncan finds himself hopelessly smitten by modish maiden Tara McCallister, and decides to forsake his womanizing ways.
Their romance is scorching hot. But I’ll get back to that in a minute.
