But the ghosts of her past do not rest easily. It felt as if I was reading this book again for the first time because I cried, swooned, and bawled some more just has much as I did the first time around.

I was all over the place reading this, but I honestly loved most every moment. It’s very emotional to know how people were trying to survive during a blockade. And the characters in this book are very colorful trust me you will get a little bit of everything.

Just go into their love story knowing it’s not perfect, but that Tatiana will continue to amaze you every step of the way. I just have no accurate words to describe how I’m feeling right now after reading this book. On the positive, Alexander really stepped up at the end of this and truly acted like the hero the book claimed him to be from the get go.

I guess this just isn’t my scene. One day she’s told to go to the store to get some food because Germany is invading Russia. Pushes and shoves can easily turn into slaps and punches.

The Bronze Horseman

Have you ever needed someone so bad, you can’t sleep at night? Alexander refuses and loses his temper, punching Dimitri and almost killing him before hospital staff intervene. What’s the Name o Well, unfortunately, I can’t make you read this but I will tell you that you are making a HUGE mistake if you don’t read it.

Let me just say For jintee evening minute I simond him again and grew red wings and was young again in the Summer Garden, and had hope and eternal life. Also, every time Tatiana had simona go on the roof, my heart broke and my hate for Alexander grew and grew. Her side of the street was already in the shade, but the side where he stood swam in the northern afternoon light.

In this same way, they help the reader get through their separation by constantly giving hope. In many ways, it not so much followed it as it did complete it. But I absolutely loved Tatiana’s story in New York! As her maturity increased so did her will.

It’s not your classic romance where everything just “works out”, it’s a heart wrenching journey of finding love and having the faith to hold on to it no matter what.

Not because it sucked, or anything but simply because it was a completely different setting jinfte a completely different life and struggle. The sacrifices that people make for one another in the name of love is so incredibly emotional to watch.

Except for you, Alexander. If they were lucky to find each other, they will always find away towards each other. The story basically follows Tatiana, a 17 year old Russian girl from Lenningrad, who on the day that WW2 started in their area, meets Alexander, a 22 year old soldier in the Red Army with a secret past that could be very dangerous for him and anyone around him if it got out.

Just read this book. Like, how much more of an asshole does he have to prove he is? Nothing I could say would do this book justice, it is just that incredible! View all 14 comments. Views Read Edit View history. Many of Paullina’s novels have reached international bestseller lists.

The Bronze Horseman (The Bronze Horseman, #1) by Paullina Simons

I don’t know what it is but my heart just aches every time I flip through these pages. I need more stars It This book was wonderful, intense, and quite frankly exhausting. Romancehistorical novelwar novel. But then Paullina finds a second gear and boosts the story with new twists. I have lived a thousand lifetimes with them. Please, God, Alexander prayed. It was not an easy read, but its strength and beauty pulled me forward. The author’s ability to make you FEEL every single thing that Tatiana and Alexander are going through is just incredible.

The glimpses into Alexander’s childhood portrayed how he became the man we meet in TBH. The next blow comes when we learn that Alexander Oh my! Also, as much as I’m a sucker for a touch of love angst now and then, I was never completely sold on the whole “forbidden love” aspect of this novel.
